Marc Mealy is the Vice President-Policy at the US-ASEAN Business Council, America’s leading trade association of American companies doing business in Southeast Asia. At the Council he oversees the Council’s information products, coordinates advocacy efforts on behalf of clients, and serves as the in-house lead on international trade policy and talent development. He joined the Council in 2003 as the Senior Director for Malaysia, the Philippines and the Financial Services Working Group. Prior to working at the Council, some of his previous positions include: Serving as a member of the Professional Staff of the House International Relations Committee; an international economist with USDA’s Commodity Credit Corporation; and a Foreign Service Officer with the Foreign Agricultural Service. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Third World Studies from Oberlin College and an M.S. degree in Economics from the University of Florida.
